How do I register my child for a program?
You can register online at http://activenet1ca.active.com/thelaughingtrunk/ , by phone, or in person with a $50.00 deposit to either Mississauga location at 5602 Tenth Line West, Unit #106, Mississauga, ON, L5M 7L9, or Milton location at 12 Martin Street, Milton, ON L9T 2P9. Programs that are less than $70.00 require full payment at registration time otherwise; full payment will be due two weeks prior to the first day of program. We accept payment as cash, credit card or cheque made out to The Laughing Trunk Inc.
Is there a special discount for signing up multiple children in a family or multiple programs?
We offer 5% off the second and third child or program. 10% off four or more children or program. Discounts are deducted from the lesser program/camp fee.
Do you accept credit cards?
Yes. We accept payment as cash, credit card or cheque made out to The Laughing Trunk Inc. We require a driver’s license number and credit card number for all cheques. NSF cheques will be subject to a $35.00 charge.
What is your Return policy?
The Laughing Trunk Inc. will issue a complete refund if a camp or program is cancelled due to insufficient enrolment. The Laughing Trunk Inc. requires a minimum of two weeks notice of cancellation if you chose to withdraw your child from a program or camp to receive a refund on camps paid in full, however a $50 cancellation fee will be withheld. Any cancellations within two weeks of the start date of program/camp will result in the loss of full payment.
Once a camp or workshop program has started there are no refunds allowed. Please note that The Laughing Trunk reserves the right to de-register a child from program if deemed to be incompatible with the program. A refund will be issues for all unattended days.
When do you cancel Programs?
We may have to cancel a program if minimum registration is not achieved. Please note: to avoid cancellation The Laughing Trunk reserve the right to combine classes together. If program is cancelled due to weather a make-up session or credit note will be issued
What happens if I am running late and cannot pick-up my child on time?
Children MUST be picked up promptly after programs. A $20.00 late fee will be charged for every 15 minutes late and is applied starting 5 minutes after program ends.
Do you have extended hours available?
We offer extended hours for our camp programs only. Regular camp hours are 9:00a.m-5:00p.m. We have available extended hours from 8:00a.m.-9:00a.m. and 5:00p.m.-6:00p.m. The extended hours will consist of supervised activities and is available on a first come first serve basis as spaces are limited. One additional hour is $25 for a week, or $5.00 per day if arranged in advanced or $8.00 if notice is given less than 24 hours, and $40.00 for two hours for a week. If your child is not enrolled in the extended hours program the regular late fees applies.
What security is in place to ensure no body else picks up my child?
Adults picking up children from our centre must be listed on the child’s registration form and present photo id.
What should my child wear?
Children should come dressed comfortable and ready to get messy. We provide aprons for the children to wear while participating in creative activities however it does not always catch all the mess. Please be aware that we use both washable and non-washable paints depending on the project. Our facility also enforces a no outdoor shoe policy and all participants must wear socks or slippers. No bare feet are allowed.
