Weekly Themes
The Laughing Trunk Inc. offers a learning rich environment during school breaks for children ages 4 to 12 years old. Each camp program is one week in length and extended hours are available. Children will participate in both individual and group activities and create works of art based on weekly themes. Daily outdoor activities will be part of the full day program, weather permitting. There will be supervised morning, afternoon and lunch breaks that children are required to bring their own healthy and nut free food.

Summer Camp 2012
June 25-29: Music Madness
Children will have fun learning about instruments and music from around the world. They will make their own instruments.
July 2-6: Oh Canada!!
Children will celebrate all the uniqueness and diversity that Canada has to offer from learning about the provinces and animals to the people that live here.
Outing to CN Tower
July 9-13: CSI (Craft Scene Investigation)
Calling all detectives!! We need your help to solve the mystery. Children will make their own detective kits and use them as they learn to dust for fingerprints and process evidence at the scene.
Outing to Bronte Creek
July 16-20: Eco Explorers
Enjoy learning about the world around us and discover how to appreciate the environment. Children will learn about animal habitats and will put the principles of reduce, reuse and recycle into art concepts.
Outing to Toronto Zoo
July 23-27: Junior Chef
Children will enjoy being little chefs as they learn how to make no bake/nut free treats. They will also make crafts to complement the kitchen.
Outing to Eldorado Park for a cook out
July 30-Aug 3: Olympic Fun
We will celebrate the summer Olympics and get into the team spirit!! Children will enjoy doing projects and activities that relate to the Olympics and even do their own torch run.
Outing to Lasalle Park (wear bathing suit)
August 7-10: Wizard School (4 day Prorated)
Children will discover the mystical world through making their own lotions and potions, spell boxes and more.
August 13-17: Around the World
Discover the world around us as we stop at a different destination each day to learn and create as we join in local crafts and activities.
Outing to African Lion Safari
August 20-24: Carnival of Art
Children will enjoy exploring a variety of art mediums and creating masterpieces along the way.
Outing to High Park for Art in the Park
August 27-31: Science Exploration
Children can become Mad Scientists as they explore and experiment with the world around them.

Children will participate in a variety of team building and leadership style activities while exploring a weekly theme. This program will take place at nearby parks and will include outings on Wednesdays. Drop off and pick-up at centre.
