It is a great time to be a kid! At The Laughing Trunk , learning and fun now go hand in hand! Children aged 1 to 12 can discover their creative talents through participating in a variety of unique creative art workshops. Our hands-on approach encourages learning & helps children take pride in their creative choices.

With limited art resources available in school The Laughing Trunk provides children with the opportunity to get creative and hands on with their learning. Whether at our centre or us coming to you, are programs deliver dynamic results, the children amaze themselves with their newly uncovered talents. Creative Drop-In Time
A time for parents and children to come together to experience creative expression through art stations, painting, dress-up and more. This is an unstructured and parent supervised time. Drop-In times are
Monday – Friday from 10:00am-4:00pm until September-December (excluding Christmas, March and Summer Breaks). Cost: $10.00 per child. Cost includes all materials from craft stations – seasonal project options presented. Upgraded craft options available.
Part Time Morning & Afternoon
Preschool Program for 2013!
For Ages 2 1/2– 5 years
Child Independent Programs – Cost $20.00 per Class
Sessions September – December; January- March; Apr- June
This creative learning program will include weekly themes that will focus on encouraging creativity and self-expression while learning preschool fundamentals!
Choose 1-5 days per week.
Morning from 10:00am-12:00pm
Afternoon from 1:00pm-3:00pm
A $ 50.00 deposit is required at time of registration– which will be applied to your child’s final weeks in the program
Afterschool Program for school aged children -
During this program children will be offered assistance with their homework and enjoy making creative projects that will focus on encouraging self expression and reinforcing their learning while having fun. Walking pick-up from Churchill Meadows and St. Faustina available. Afterschool lesson schedule available.
School dismissal up to 6:00pm
Pricing for Preschool/Afterschool
• 1 day - $22.50 per week
• 2 days – $45.00 per week
• 3 days – $65.00 per week
• 5 days – $105.00 per week
Please note that the regular lessons that are posted for afterschool are optional for your child to participate in at no additional cost.
Spring Programs (April to June 2013)
Afterschool Activities / Lessons
*Learn to Draw (Ages 6 to 10)
8 week program teaching the basics of drawing. Includes sketch book.
Mondays, April 15 -June 10 from 4:30-5:30pm
No classes on May 20th
Cost: $85.00
*Cartoon Workshop (Ages 5 to 12)
This 10 week program will have children explore the animation world. The children will learn to draw cartoons in simple steps- Animals, people and fantasy characters. At the end of the 10 weeks the children will put on an art show for their families.
Ages 5-12 on Wednesdays April 17-June 19 from 4:30-5:30pm Cost: $120.00 ( includes all the materials)
Watercolor Painting Workshop (Ages 5-12)
This 10 week program will have children learning basic to advanced level of watercolor skills. Children will have fun exploring different textures and techniques. At the end of the 10 weeks the children will put on an art show for their families.
